Streamlined Record-Keeping
Managing immunization records can be daunting, especially for pet-care businesses handling numerous clients. Gingr’s system simplifies this process by allowing pet-care providers to easily record, track, and update immunization information within the platform. Instead of sifting through paper records or juggling multiple systems, staff can quickly access and verify a pet's vaccination status with icons:
- Red Shield Icon: A pet has expired or missing immunization records that are required for their species.
- Yellow Shield Icon: A pet has required immunization records that will expire within 30 days.
- No Icon: No immunizations due or expired for the pet.
To update records, staff can click the shield icon or navigate to the Immunizations tab on the animal's profile page.
If a customer tries to make a reservation with expired vaccinations, Gingr shows them an error message. An error message will also appear if a staff member tries to create a reservation, which can be overridden as long as the "can override immunizations" permission is turned on for that user.

Automated Reminders for Proactive Care
One of the standout features of Gingr’s immunization management system is its automated reminder functionality. Pet-care businesses can set up notifications to remind customers when vaccinations are due, helping to ensure that pets are always up-to-date with their immunizations.
In Gingr, you can send automated emails to customers 30 days prior to their pet's required vaccination records expiring. You can also manually send a request by clicking on the animal's Immunization Icon (if present) or their Animal Details Immunizations tab. From there, click the "Email Reminder" button at the bottom.
